National Model: Service Learning
Service to others is part of our DNA at Woodward. Our students devote more than 5,000 hours annually to service projects, and we reach out to our neighbors as well as to our sister school on another continent. This strong emphasis on service creates a sense of community and teaches our students about social justice, shaping them into critical thinkers and ethical problem solvers. Because these students graduate and carry these life-shaping experiences with them, Woodward truly makes the world a better place.
Our partners in service include:
• Horizons at Woodward
• Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
• Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
• Save the Children
• Habitat for Humanity
